WeatherCloud is an internet-powered hanging lamp that brings the weather inside your home. Inspired by an Etsy cloud lamp and the original prototype of The Cloud by Richard Clarkson (originally spied at SVA's Products of Design lab), I decided to design my own lamp that utilized live weather data to inform its owner of the current weather in their neighborhood. It currently lives happily in my apartment.

Its electronic guts are comprised of a Particle Photon (like an Arduino) and a string of LEDs. It uses Dark Sky Forecast API for its live data.

There are different light patterns to match each weather pattern. Here are a couple of examples:

When it's a clear day, the cloud glows a warm red-orange...
